Amit Kleinberger is the current CEO of Menchie's Frozen Yogurt. He has been the CEO since 2008. As of April 4, 2016 he is 36 years of age.[1] He appeared on an episode of Undercover Boss.[2]

Early life[edit]

Kleinberger was born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel. He was inspired by the 1987 movie The Secret of My Success which stars a young college graduate exploring Corporate America in New York City.[2] Kleinberger says that he has been interested in business since he was a kid, and says that his childhood view of commerce "intrigued" him.[1]

Military[edit]

He served as a commander in the Israeli Defense Forces in the infantry ground forces for three years. He claims that he learned about leadership and people in this position. When he was 20, he had a near-death experience when the soldier-filled bus that Kleinberger was supervising got hijacked.[3][4]

Career[edit]

Kleinberger views his business career in two phases: the first one was where he was trying out business ideas which came to him via coincidence, and the second phase where he claims that his goal is to "celebrate and honor people".[1]

Menchie's[edit]

MidiCi[edit]

Kleinberger opened a new neopolitan pizza restaurant named MidiCi Neapolitan Pizza in June 2015. [5][6]
