Lasitha Perera, professional music instructor [organ, guitar, vocal & piano], vocalist (Be Positive Band), pianist, keyboardist, guitarist, music composer, lyricist, audio engineer, audio/video producer, artist producer, music director, and media coordinator.

Born in: 1979/05/03 in Kandy.

Studied at: Kingswood College, Kandy

Lasitha started his music career when he was 5 years old as a pianist and is now a dedicated professional musician. He is fully engaged in rigorous practice and training his unique style to maintain a very high standard in his profession.

He started his music career and the popular band “Be Positive” in 1996 as professionals.

His most popular tracks are Bisawa, Dum Dum, Aseemithai Adare, Sora Bora wawa, Saman Malai Rosa malui, etc. “Be Positive” introduced the first 3D animated video in Sri Lanka for an anti-smoking song (Dum Dum Rali Rali) and won a presidential award from the Health Ministry in 2003 for this video.

Lasitha Perera started his career as a solo artist and released his audio album “Kisi Dine” with SONY Music worldwide and M Entertainment group in 2009.

Apart from his music career, he is the proprietor of LPMA – Lasitha Perera Music Academy in Kandy. Lasitha Perera is a popular music instructor, and LPMA is a well-established and well-equipped academy with modern, highly professional technology and unique facilities. He possesses a competent knowledge of universal music and caters to all types of students using a variety of teaching methods.

Lasitha Perera Music Academy is a well-established academy in Kandy since 1996. LPMA started with a few students and has produced over 10,000 students. The academy's students come from high society, leading universities, and remote areas.
