Laura Dunn (born Laura Jones; in Winnetka, Illinois) is a television host, actress, model, and blogger based in Beverly Hills, CA. She is best known for her portrayal of Cricket Box, the wife of Jack, in a series of Jack in the Box commercials that ran from 1996-2010, and an extensive print and modeling career.[1][2]
Dunn is also the creator and writer of a lifestyle blog, a fashion editor for Genlux Magazine, and as at 2019 was the luxury travel correspondent for The Jetset, a nationally syndicated travel-oriented talk show.[3][4][5]
Early Life[edit]
Laura Dunn was born in Winnetka, IL. After graduating from New Trier High School in Northfield, IL, Dunn attended the University of Arizona. During her second semester, she went back to Illinois to compete in the Miss Illinois and Miss USA Pageant as Miss Wilmette.[2]

Modeling[edit]
Dunn's first modeling agency was The Kim Dawson Agency in Dallas, Texas. It was there that Dunn was discovered by Sonja Ekval of Model Team in Hamburg, Germany. Dunn's modeling career accelerated in Europe as she began shooting campaigns for Evian, Coke, Adidas, Vidal Sassoon, and others.[6]
Upon returning to the states, Laura became one of the original Jordache Jeans Girls. She also shot for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Elle. She also shot for major catalogues, including J.C. Penny and Neiman Marcus.[citation needed]
Acting[edit]
Dunn transitioned to acting in the mid-nineties when she landed the coveted role of Cricket Box in a series of commercials for fast food chain Jack in the Box. The commercials centered on comedic situations between Dunn's character Cricket Box and her husband, the titular Jack.[7][8]
Upon moving to Los Angeles in the early nineties, Dunn signed with Elite Model Management, and started acting and landed the coveted role of "Jack's Wife" in the iconic Jack in the Box commercials under the helm of the infamous Dick Sittig.[9] Laura played Cricket Box for 14 years and during that time went back to school at UCLA to study Broadcast Journalism.
She has also appeared in films, including Disney’s Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves.[10][11]
Genlux Magazine[edit]
Dunn serves as fashion director for Genlux Magazine.[12] Genlux, a luxury fashion and philanthropy magazine, often features Dunn’s editorial beauty and luxury product picks.
Television Host[edit]
Dunn was brought on at the beginning of January 2017 to host the "Luxury Edition" of The Jet Set.[13] The Jet Set is a television show (billed as "TV's First Travel Talk Show") devoted to all things travel.[14] The format is for Dunn to travel the world reporting on luxury destinations and experiences.

Dunn is on the board of American philanthropist Justin Mayo's Red Eye Charity, a Los Angeles-based charity that "Empower those passionate about the arts to develop their talents in positive environments, thus allowing them to utilize their creativity to help others."[15]
Personal Life[edit]
Dunn was married to Steven B. Dunn, founder of Munchkin Inc. They divorced in 2016 after thirty years of marriage. Laura was an integral part of the founding and development of baby products with Munchkin, Inc. Since its inception in 1991, Laura helped develop several products in the Munchkin lineup. Laura and Steven have two children together. Beau Dunn, the older, is an American artist, actress and model.
