Laura Goodwin is a Scottish broadcast journalist and television presenter, serving as BBC Scotland's Innovation Correspondent since 2018.

Career[edit]

Goodwin started her career at Moray Firth radio before becoming a presenter an reporter for STV North based in Aberdeen.

She joined BBC Scotland in October 2018, becoming the Innovation Correspondent, a new role created by the company. Goodwin has frequently presented BBC Reporting Scotland and The Nine.[1]

In 2019, following the sudden departure of Jackie Bird as a main presenter on Reporting Scotland, Goodwin was one of four top candidates in line to succeed Bird as the main presenter of the programme. She was viewed as one of the "less experienced anchors", against Catriona Shearer, Laura Miller and Amy Irons, and Miller was favoured by BBC bosses.[2]
