Lazio United FC is a football club based in Buffalo, New York, United States. Founded in 2020, the team plays in the Buffalo District Soccer League (BDSL), an amateur league at the sixth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the USASA Region I.
The Club's traditional kit colours are sky blue shirts and white shorts with white socks; the colours are reminiscent of Rome's ancient Hellenic legacy.
History
The club was established in 2020 by fans of S.S. Lazio under the name Lazio United Football Club. Building up a program designed for 18+ years old players who want to keep playing after High School and College at the competitive level.
The Club joined Division 3 of the Buffalo District Soccer League (BDSL), on February 1st 2021.[1]
The First Team made its first appearance playing at the Sahlen Men's Indoor League (Competitive Division) on November 8th 2020[2], and at the Sportplex Men's Indoor League (B Division) on January 12th 2021.[3]
On April 12th 2021, SololaLazio News highlighted that a Lazio's fans from Buffalo founded Lazio United FC, an American football club that competes in the American amateur league and wears the Biancocelesti colors.[4]
