FCY New York is a semi-professional soccer team located in Buffalo, New York.[1]. The team competes in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) Premier Division[2]. As part of the UPSL, FCY New York is a National Affiliate member of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the organization responsible for governing soccer in the United States[3].

History[edit]

FCY New York originated from the Lackawanna Yemen Soccer Club[4], based in Lackawanna, New York, which has been serving the community's youth since 1975[5]. The club evolved from the men's teams Lackawanna FCY and Yemen Elite, both of which participated in the Premier Division of the Buffalo District Soccer League (BDSL)[6]. Lackawanna FCY concluded the season as the runner-up. In 2021, FCY New York joined the semi-professional UPSL Premier Division within the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL)[7]
