Le Piaf is an French animated television series created by Dan Salel that consists of 200[1] episodes. The show was produced by Films CDC and Brizzi Films and aired in 1987[2] on Canal+ and then rebroadcast in 1989[3] on TF1. In Quebec, it was broadcast on Canal Famille.
Plot[edit]
A look at the episodic surreal unconnected daily adventures of an easily-angered silent anthropomorphic yellow sparrow who always wears sneakers.[4]
About the show[edit]
Originally, this character 'Le Piaf' was used for postcards published by Mediatec, and then Cartotec[5]. After getting a lot of popularity the character Le Piaf became an animated show that was shown initially only on French television Canal+ counting 200 episodes that last 1 minute and 30 seconds each[6]. After it gained even more popularity the show was broadcasted on about thirty different international channels such as Channel 4, KiKA, and RTS. After the show has ended, the character of Le Piaf ended up on many products such as card games, statuettes, coffee cups, stickers etc.
