- 1928, Garden City Bank was founded. It was a Cass County Institution started in a farming community in Ewing Kauffman’s hometown.
- 2005 the Landon and Sarah Rowland family purchased Garden City bank with plans to expand to Eastern Jackson County.
- 2008, Garden City Bank opened a branch in Lee’s Summit, MO.
- 2009, Garden City Bank put under C&D in 2008 and federal enforcement actions. (link to enforcement acts) released from cease & desist order in 2012 or 2013?
- 2010, Garden City Bank was officially renamed to Lead Bank.
