Lee DuCote (born April 16, 1971) is an American writer and novelist.
Early life
DuCote was born on April 16, 1971, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Leo Curry DuCote, a farmer and oilman, and Janet Eileen Githens Nolan, a registered nurse. He was the youngest of three children, with a sister, Sherri Rowland (1966–present), and a middle sister, Julie Stewart (1968–present). He was raised Methodist and is of French ancestry. He and his wife are non-denominational and are raising their children in the same faith. DuCote graduated from Trinity Heights Christian Academy in 1989 and enrolled at Northeast University in Monroe, where he attended for only two years. In the winter of 1990, he moved to the Marshall Islands where he worked for the military until 1991.
Career
While in Heber Springs in 2011, DuCote penned his first (never-published) novel, Surviving High School, while working with a Christian organization, Young Life. He wrote another novel in 2012, also unpublished, Micah. In 2012, DuCote wrote Fields of Alicia and self-published it with Lulu.com. In 2014, he wrote Waterproof and self-published the book in 2015 for one month before Grave Distractions Publications picked up both Fields of Alicia and Waterproof. [1]
Across Border, written in 2015, is set to be released in February 2016 by Grave Distractions Publications.
