She is a member of the girl group Loossemble, and formerly a member of Loona and its sub-unit Loona yyxy. She is currently signed under CTD ENM.
Early life
Go Won was born on November 19, 2000, in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. She was inspired to become a singer after attending a concert by OH MY GIRL.[1]
Career
She was revealed as the eleventh member of Loona on January 15, 2018. Her solo single album, Go Won, was released on January 30, 2018.[2]
She officially debuted as a member of sub-unit Loona yyxy on May 30, 2018, with the release of Beauty & the Beat. She later debuted as a full member of Loona on August 20, 2018.
In March 2022, Go Won tested positive for COVID-19 and could not participate in the first round of Queendom 2.[3]
On June 16, 2023, she won her lawsuit against BlockBerry Creative to terminate her exclusive contract.[4] On July 5, she signed with CTD ENM.[5] She re-debuted as a member of Loossemble on September 15, 2023.[6]
Personal life
Go Won's height is 160 cm and her blood type is B. Her representative color is Eden green, and her symbols include a butterfly, a pineapple, and the plum blossom.
She trained at LP Dance & Vocal Academy.[7] Her role model is OH MY GIRL.[1]
In May 2020, singer Grimes revealed on Instagram that Go Won is the godmother of her son, X Æ A-12, whom she had with Elon Musk.[8]
In 2020, she became known for creating a viral food combination called the "Go Won Set," which included spicy grilled intestines (불막창) and cheese ramen. The combo became popular and was even featured on a livestream by GS25 convenience store.[9]
