Lending Works
Lending Works is a UK peer-to-peer lending firm based in Farringdon, London that provides personal loans and retail point-of-sale finance.[1]. Launched in 2014, by January 2019 the company had provided more than £150m of loans.[2]
History
Lending Works was founded in 2012 by Nicholas Harding, a former banker[3], and Matthew Powell, an accountant.[4] The company was privately funded initially, but from 2016 to 2019 received multiple investment rounds from Pollen Street Capital[5], Maven Capital Partners[6][7] and NVM[8]
In 2018, Simon Waugh, a former board member of British Gas and Chairman of CMC Markets joined the company as Chairman of the board of directors.[9]
Regulatory
In 2016, Lending Works became the first platform to be fully authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.[10]
Products
Personal Loans
Lending Works provides unsecured personal loans from £1,000 to £25,000 over 12 to 60 months.
Retail Finance
The firm's retail point-of-sale finance offering has two products, Pay in 3 and Flexi Finance[11], which provide finance from £50 to £25,000, from 2 to 60 months.
