Leon Mann

Leon Mann is a TV journalist and documentary filmmaker.
Mann started as international spokesperson for football's anti-racism campaigns Kick It Out and Football Against Racism in Europe, before joining the BBC in 2007 and was a TV reporter for them at the 2012 London Olympics.[1][2]
At the BBC he has also been a reporter on Match of the Day, Football Focus, World Olympic Dreams and British Olympic Dreams programmes.[2]
His most notable documentaries are two films on Usain Bolt for the BBC, directing and producing both ‘Usain Bolt: The Fastest Man Who Ever Lived’ in 2010 for BBC One[3] and ‘Can Anyone Beat Bolt’ for BBC Three ahead of the 2012 London Olympics.[4][5]
The broadcaster has also done documentaries with footballer Jermain Defoe[6] and Andy Cole.[7]
Mann has also done UEFA Champions League and Bundesliga work for ITV Sport, written for the Guardian[8], co-founded The Black List in 2008 and founded the Black Collective of Media in Sport (BCOMS) in 2010.[2]
In 2014 Mann founded the Sports People’s Think Tank and also co-founded independent production company Refresh Films, with Mann presenting their content for PFA TV.[9]
