Leonel Xavier Loureiro Barros (born c. 1988) is a Portuguese athlete who competes in road running and trail running. He is a member of the club Vizela Corre and is a multiple-time regional champion in the Master (M35) category.
Career Highlights
Barros has a strong record of achievements in various running disciplines, from shorter track events to long-distance trail races.
- Regional Champion: In 2025, he was crowned Regional Champion (M35) at the Braga Regional Master Championship, winning titles in the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 3000m events.[1]
- Trail Running: He won the 1st place at the 2nd Cross Trail Campos do Lis in 2025.[2] In 2023, he finished in 2nd place in the 14 km event at the Gerês Extreme Marathon.
