Leonor Fernandes is a Portuguese beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Capital do Granito (Miss Granite Capital) in August 2026.[1]
Miss Capital do Granito
In August 2026, Fernandes won the 10th edition of the Miss Capital do Granito competition.[2] The pageant is held in Vila Pouca de Aguiar, a municipality in the Vila Real District of northern Portugal.
The municipality is officially branded as the "Capital of Granite" (Capital do Granito) due to its extensive granite extraction and transformation industry, which is the largest source of employment in the region and features certified ornamental granites exported globally.[3] The pageant is traditionally tied to local cultural and economic celebrations, such as the annual Granite and Economic Activities Fair (Feira do Granito e das Atividades Económicas).[4]
