Sylvie Da Costa Silva (born 28 April 1999) is a Monégasque-born Portuguese beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2019. She will represent Portugal at the Miss Universe 2019 competition.[1][2]
Personal life[edit]
Silva was born on Monte Carlo in Monaco and grew up at Setúbal and resided at Guimarães. She was crowned Miss Portuguesa Gaia 2019 second runner-up and represented Monaco at the Miss República Portuguesa contest. Silva studied at the Melbourne Law School in Carlton, Victoria and speaks fluent English, Portuguese and French.
Pageantry[edit]
Silva began her pageantry career representing Monaco in the Miss República Portuguesa 2019 competition and was crowned as Miss Universo Portugal 2019 during the coronation night held in Gondomar, Portugal on July 27, 2019. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Filipa Barroso. Silva will now represent Portugal at the Miss Universe 2019 competition, being the first Monégasque-Portuguese representative of Portugal to compete in a major beauty pageant.[3][4]
