Leslie Ann Powers (born on September 12, 1971 in Washington, D.C.) is an American film and stage actress, tap dancer and singer. best known for her role as Penny Pingleton in the 1988 John Waters film Hairspray and Sandy in the 2001 musical film Tap Dance Tap Fun.
