Lexprompt WRITE is commercial software that provides an integrated writing environment for Microsoft Word.[1][2][3] Lexprompt WRITE provides document content search functionality for both enterprise and personal use. The software also provides a multi-document viewer integrated with Microsoft Word, which allows users to view, organize, and link references and supporting documents to a working document.[4]
Content Search and Reuse
Lexprompt WRITE enables content search and viewing as-you-type directly from within Microsoft Word.[1][2][3] Results are shown as complete sentences, thereby allowing the user to quickly review the results without having to open the source documents. Furthermore, results can be restricted based on folder location. In this manner, WRITE is useful for enabling users to easily reuse their existing content from their previously written documents and from shared enterprise documents. The software also groups results by similarity, thereby showing unique sentences on the main results pane; however, users can expand grouped results to view similar sentences.
Multi-document Viewer
The software also provides a multi-document viewer integrated with Microsoft Word, which allows users to view, organize, and link references and supporting documents to a working document.[4] The multi-document viewer utilizes tabs for quick access and elimination of clutter from multiple windows.
Reference and Supporting Document Linking
The multi-document viewer allows users to enable viewed document linking, whereby files opened in the viewer are linked to the open Microsoft Word file. When the Word file is reopened, the viewer automatically displays the linked files.[4]
Professional Uses
Lexprompt WRITE is used by attorneys, technical writers, auditors, consultants, and other professionals who write reports or manage large numbers of documents.[1][5][6]
