Phromwily Leesiriroj (Thai: พร้อมวิไล หลี่ศิริโรจน์; born January 20, 2000), known in Greater China as Li Ziting (Chinese: 李紫婷) more commonly known by her stage name MiMi Lee, is a Thai chinese singer, actress and host. She was the lead singer of the former girl music group Rocket Girls 101 since 2018 until June 2020 when the group officially disbanded, after which she goes SOLO.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Life and career[edit]

Li Ziting at the age of 8 was the youngest winner of the Thai Singing Competition and the runner up of the Thailand Channel 3 National Thai Singing Competition in 2008 which is when she got her first public recognition.[8]

At the age of 13 in the year 2013, was when she attracted global recognition and got well known after when she participated in the voice of kid Thailand. season 1,[9] a competition of a blind youthful audition which she sang the song 'want to Sing out loud' by palmy with full lyrics in chinese, and that was actually the stage that first got her globally famous.[10][11]

Li Ziting won two award in 2014: The 3rd position in the Beijing water cube global chinese youth song competition, and the championship of the Thailand’s Central Chinese Television and annual chinese song competition. She held her first solo live concert in 2016. She then made her second live concert called 'Mimi Lee Wind Flying 2' in 2017 with Tencent Produce101.[12]

Li Ziting participated in Produce 101 China in 2018, a Tencent survival reality TV show with a total number of 105 contestants, Li Ziting triumphed and ranked 9th and became the first person to debut as one of the 11 member of the preceded girl group Rocket Girls 101. This was her first career step in the Dragon land and thus becoming one of the most popular celebrity in the Greater China.[13]

Following the group disband in 2020, Li Ziting shows no sign of discouragement and dispiritedness rather, she made her upturn with lots of Solo songs and albums. This proved her quest and eager for success, hardworking and independent.[14][15][16][17]

In the exchange of Thai-Chinese culture on 20 January 2019 The 'National Tourism Administration of Thailand' held the 'We Care About You' Guinness Official Challenge at the venue IMPACT Muangthong Thani of which Li Ziting was one of the artist that performed on the stage.

Wearing a costume dress with full presentation of Thai chinese culture, Li Ziting impressed the audience when she performed on the stage with the songs 'Thank you' 'I only care about you' 'Calories' and 'Love guru'. She then later was awarded the honorary title of 'Ambassador for Cultural Exchanges of Thailand and China' by the Thai government[18]

Personal life[edit]

Li Ziting is of Thai-chinese by decency, according to source, her birth mother is from Guangdong China while her father is of Han-chinese Ethnicity from Jiangxi.[19] Li Ziting's father is believed to be a descendant of the Li family of the Ancient China which some of them moved and settled in today's Thailand.[20]

Li Ziting's was fully trained by her parents with the influence of chinese culture and language. She lived and grew up in chinese style environment right from her young age and have familiarise herself with Chinese Traditional and culture. And more so, Li Ziting understands both English Thai and chinese[21] and speaks both language effortlessly.[22]

On 24th June 2022, Li Ziting's Pet dog called 'Melody' suddenly died in a Thai cargo flight that took off from Bangkok to Shanghai which caused a massive wave on the media. According to news sources, the singer was totally heart broken that she took to her social media platform to demand an answer[23]. The pop star's fans also took to the media condemning the airline asking that Justice be done for Mimi[24]. This wave of trended was all over Thailand and China especially on twitter-Thailand.[25][26][27][28][29]
