Liam O'Donnell

Liam O'Donnell is a British songwriter and musician.[1] His writing credits include collaborations with artists such as Fall Out Boy, Little Boots, 3OH!3 and MAX. O'Donnell is also the lead singer of Various Cruelties, a London based rock band.

Liam O'Donnell was born in London and raised in Leeds. O'Donnell began his music career on the London gig circuit.

Music career[edit]

Various Cruelties played their first show with the The Vaccines in November 2010 and released their debut single "If it wasn't for you".[2] The single received support from BBC Radio 1. Liam signed with Mercury records. Various Cruelties recorded in Los Angeles and the Isle of Wight in the Summer of 2011. Following this they went on tour with Kasabian, Miles Kane and appeared on Later... with Jools Holland[3] alongside Metallica and Lou Reed. In the USA they appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Their self titled debut album was released in April 2012.[4]

After spending time in Los Angeles in 2014. O'Donnell signed a joint publishing deal with B-Unique Records and Crush Management. Since focusing on writing some of O'Donnell's notable work includes Fall Out Boy's 2x Platinum single[5] Uma Thurman (song) and MAX "Lights down low".
