From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Elizabeth "Libby" Suzanne Tidley (born Elizabeth Suzanne Donovan) known on YouTube as "LibbyLumos" is a British singer-songwriter who focuses on indie pop folk music.

Musical career[edit]

Tidley released her debut EP "Here I Am" on August 10, 2015. On the buildup to releasing "Here I Am" she created a video about the backstories for each of the songs with a preview of the final track and released them on her second channel to encourage interest in the release. The EP debuted at number 11 in the iTunes Singer Songwriter Charts and 181 in the overall chart. It features other known YouTube artists such as Chloe Mae Gasson, Antoinette Belle Graham and Dodie Clark.

"Here I Am" consisted of five tracks that Tidley felt summed up her songwriting style with a running theme of the colour red and the symbol of a rose. She decided to incorporate a colour and a symbol into every release.

The follow up EP, "Cloudy Skies", was released on March 19, 2016.[1] The EP was styled with the colour blue and themed around rain. Each of the five songs chosen for the EP were related to the topic of rain. Two of the tracks outright mentioned it, one 'felt like' rainfall and the other two were written with a thunderstorm theme. She incorporated this theme into the instrumentation also by using a piano that was loud and thunderous.

The release of "Cloudy Skies" was heavily focused around a headline gig at the Artworks, Elephant and Castle. Tidley worked with SomewhereTo_ and We're Not Just Cats Records to arrange an EP Launch Party gig on the day of the release and invited George Reece, Megan Collins and Maisie Peters - all fellow YouTube musicians - to play as her support act. The EP charted at number 36 in the Singer Songwriter iTunes Chart.
