Libertarian Fascism

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Libertarian fascism (or Paleolibertarianism) is a political ideology in right-libertarianism to physically remove those who "oppose freedom" in order to establish a "libertarian social order". Such action is required in order to defend and up hold individual prosperity and liberty.[1][2] The phrase originated in libertarian author and political theorist Hans-Hermann Hoppe's 2001 book "Democracy: The God That Failed" [1], in which he argues that in order to maintain a libertarian social order, those with political views antithetical to private property such as democrats and communists would have to be disallowed from joining libertarian communities.

"In a covenant…among proprietor and community tenants for the purpose of protecting their private property, no such thing as a right to free (unlimited) speech exists, not even to unlimited speech on one’s own tenant-property. One may say innumerable things and promote almost any idea under the sun, but naturally no one is permitted to advocate ideas contrary to the very covenant of preserving and protecting private property, such as democracy and communism. There can be no tolerance toward democrats and communists in a libertarian social order. They will have to be physically separated and removed from society."

Definition[edit]

Since its up bringing, its been described as a loose political concept. Whilst many may claim the term is contradicting and antithetical, the ideology can comprise of mixed elements from both ideologies. These commonalities is what enables libertarianism perspectives to be upheld first, with fascistic ideals secondly (removal of others). With the intention of direct governance and charismatic leadership.

"Freedom isn't free"

As an ideology it explicitly chastises the invasions, war crimes and atrocities committed by prominent radical fascists such as Hitler and Mussolini.

Aims[edit]

One aim of Libertarian Fascism, is the concept that in order to achieve a small government society; which maximises individual liberty, one must establish an authoritarian regime. The purpose of such an establishment is to physically remove the undesirables such as communists, islamists and statists who are opposed to individual liberty.[3]

Criticisms[edit]

Many critics of Libertarian Fascism remark the ideology as a copybook oxymoron. As it is argued that libertarianism and fascism are incompatible. Thus many doubt how such an ideology would work in practice.
