LIBSYS is an Integrated Library System (ILS)[1] first released in 1988 and since then it has been implemented in a large number of libraries. The LIBSYS software was designed and developed to manage small and large library operations. It has successfully provided enriched experience to library managers and patrons. LIBSYS10 is the latest version of LIBSYS[2] library software. It is a user friendly web based library management solution.[3]

LIBSYS software [4] was developed by a Gurgaon based software company, LIBSYS Ltd. Over the last three decades LIBSYS has evolved into a software with newer features and functions for managing diverse operations of large libraries.

  • In 1988, integrated LIBSYS 3 LMS was launched.
  • In 2000, LIBSYS 4 was released.
  • In 2008, LIBSYS 7 web based LMS was released.
  • In 2010, Libsys LSmart RFID system was installed in IIT Delhi central library.
  • In 2017, LIBSYS10 LMS was launched.
