Lienhard von Monkiewitsch (* 23. März 1941 in Steterburg) is a german painter, graphic artist and object artist.

Life[edit]

He lives and works in Braunschweig and Sardinia.

From 1980 til 2006 he was teaching as professor for painting at the academy for fine arts in Braunschweig/Germany (Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Braunschweig, HBK). From 1999 til 2004 he was the universitys vice president. [1]

Monkiewitsch was a member of the german association of artists Deutschen Künstlerbundes. He was admitted into the artists data base "Künstlerdatenbank und Nachlassarchiv Niedersachsen".

Influence[edit]

Proceeding from Black Square by Kazimir_Malevich and reframing it, he reached to three forms and a variety of new constelations for creating the illusion of room.
