Lieutenant Jangles is a 2018 ozploitation feature film created by Australian filmmaking duo; Nic Champeaux and Daniel Cordery. The film pays homage to the action and buddy cop genres of the 1980s, while also satirizing the tropes they are known for.
The film was crowdfunded through Indiegogo in 2014 with a modest goal of $7,000. Initial filming began in January of 2015, with the production continuing all the way until late 2017.
After nearly 4 years of production, the film premiered in Brisbane, Australia to a sell out crowd.[1] [2]
The film had its international premiere in 2018 at the GenreBlast Film Festival in the United States and would continue to play at festivals around the world and win multiple awards.[3][4]
