Lina Hamed is a British fashion designer and owner of the designer brand Analeena (since 2008).[1] She was born in January 1977.[2] Hamed is of Jordanian descent[3] but lived and was raised in London and Paris.[4]

Hamed studied fashion design at the London College of Fashion, the Harrow School of Art and received BA in fashion design from the University of Westminster.[5] At the age of 21 Hamed became a buyer for Hermès.[6][7] Hamed spent 4 years as a buyer for ladies ready to wear at Hermès Londonand then moved to Hermès Paris where she gained the experience of working with exotic skins accessories.[3] [8]

After gaining enough experience Lina started couture label Lina H Couture in Paris catering to high-end clientele.[9] In 2008 she established Analeena brand, mainly known for making luxury bags from crocodilian skin sourced from prominent farms including from Hermès-owned crocodile farms.[10][11] In 2009 Analeena bags appeared at Harrods which became the exclusive retailer in the UK of the brand.[10][12] The brand appeared in the US in 2015 exclusively at Wynn Las Vegas store.[13][14]

Lina Hamed works with crocodile, stingray, ostrich and python skins and uses pink lambskin for the lining.[11][15]
