Linda Howe (born 12 July 1954) is an American woman who is one of the world’s foremost authorities on the use of the Akashic Records for spiritual empowerment and transformation. She is best known for being the first person to make the Akashic Records accessible to ordinary individual seekers through her Pathway Prayer Process to Access the Heart of the Records© and widely shares her work with a mass New Age audience through her writings and teachings.[1]

The Akashic Records constitute the vibrational, energetic history of the soul; the notion of the Akashic Records was popularized by 19th century theosophist Alfred Percy Sinnett[2] and 20th century clairvoyant Edgar Cayce.[3] Practitioners believe that accessing the Akashic Records provides information that may heal past traumas.[4] Known as a “spiritual library,” the Akashic Records are a spiritual store of every thought, idea, or event that has occurred in universes past, present, or future.[5]

Early life[edit]

Linda Howe was born to parents John (Jack) Howe[6]> and Dorothy Catherine Lynch Howe[7] in a working class family of Irish Catholics on the north side of Chicago, Illinois, the second of eight siblings.

Education[edit]

After attending a combination of both Roman Catholic and Chicago Public Schools for elementary and high school, Howe attended Mundelein College, a Roman Catholic women’s college in Chicago. She served as president of the Phi Alpha Theta International Honor Society of Historians chapter president, Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities and received her Bachelor of Arts in history in 1976. Howe did graduate work in Russian history at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1984 to 1986.

In 2015, Howe received her Doctorate in Spiritual Studies with a specialty in the Akashic Records from Emerson Theological Institute in Oakhurst, California. She was the first person to design and earn this degree, providing others thereafter with the opportunity to earn a BA or MA with a concentration in Akashic Records.

Work[edit]

Howe had a spiritual awakening when she looked at her home and her corporate job and found them spiritually empty.[8] She then began spiritual studies in the later 1970s and thereafter through different churches, self-help, transformational as well as prayer groups, and seminars, and she began doing tarot consultations with a focus on interpersonal relationships, motivation, and the human psyche. She also studied Religious Science, The Infinite Way and related teachings by Joel S. Goldsmith, and the ancient wisdom teachings of the Tibetan Djwal Khul in writings by Alice Bailey, and the work of Torkom Saraydarian among others.[9]

Howe began working as a spiritual consultant and offered individuals and small groups spiritual development consultations, applying shamanism healing and other spiritual modalities from 1986 to 1994.[10] In 1994, she was trained in the Akashic Records and began providing spiritual guidance consultations based in the Akasha and focused on personal empowerment and spiritual healing.[11]

She earned certification as an Akashic Records teacher in 1996 and developed and implemented a comprehensive curriculum for consciousness development and personal transformation through the Akashic Records.[12] In 2001 she originated the Pathway Prayer Process to Access the Heart of the Records© and founded the Center for Akashic Studies in Chicago. [13] She also instituted an Akashic Records Teacher Training Program, certifying teachers from the United States, Canada, Australia, England, Turkey, Spain, mainland China, and Taiwan, to teach the Pathway Prayer Process. [14]

Since 2010, Howe has taught online and in-person courses requested/sponsored by the Center for Akashic Studies, Daily OM, and other healthcare facilities, yoga centers, and bookstores. She has been a guest on various radio, television and internet programs; actress, television host, and author Susan Lucci interviewed Howe for a Facebook Live session in 2021.[15] Howe also has been a featured speaker in programs sponsored by publishers and spiritual and self-help organizations such as Sounds True Publishing, Hay House Publishing, the Shift Network, the Infinity Foundation, Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, and the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies.[16]

Howe’s first book, How to Read the Akashic Records and her fourth book, Inspired Manifesting Through the Akashic Records , were endorsed by Ervin László, a Hungarian philosopher of science, systems theorist, integral theorist, originally a classical pianist [17].

“The Akasha is the deep dimension of the universe, known to and explored by mystics, sages and philosophers for thousands of years,” László said. “It is a source of information: of relevant and dependable information. Because of this, it is also a source of precious guidance in our critical times. Dr. Linda Howe demonstrates brilliantly the value of accessing the Field by which the Akasha manifests for us. Her book is a great interest and value to all of us who are concerned with our present and future wellbeing, and the wellbeing of all our fellow members in the human family.”[18]
