Lindsey Haley (1959) is a Chicana Irish American poet and playwright.[1]
Biography[edit]
Lindsey Haley was born March 12, 1959 in El Paso, Texas. In 1968, her family moved to Venice, California.[2] Haley has read poetry and lead discussions at Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center in Venice, California .[3]
Notable works[edit]
- Haley has a chapter of poems in the book titled, Urban Latino Cultures: La Vida Latina en L.A. edited by Gustavo Leclerc, Raul Villa and Michael J. Dear by SAGE publications, 1999.[4]
- Since 2013, Haley has co-produced Chicanas, Cholas, y Chisme at Josefina Lopez's CASA 0101 Theater in Boyle Heights.[5]
- Mi Casa Es Su Casa is a touring production using selected plays from Chicanas, Cholas y Chisme staged at the Infringe Festival in New Orleans and University of California Santa Cruz.
- In 2017, Haley's short play, El Jardin was presented at Los Angeles Theatre Center (LATC) Encuentro De Las Americas Festival.
