Lion Chong (Full name: Chong Bao Quan)(Chinese: 张宝权, born 11 October 2002), is a Malaysian Chinese actor. Proficient in Chinese language, Cantonese, English language, Malay language.
Career
Lion Chong started his acting career in 2007.
In 2013, he acted in the comedy film The Journey, playing the role of the young version of the main cast member, Uncle Chuan. Lion next starred in the television drama series Seven Days, playing the role of Zhang Jun Shun.
In 2014, he starred in the Chinese New Year short film Young Hearts. [1][2] Thereafter, he starred in the television drama series Bright Times and played the role of Guo Wei Ren.
In 2016, he played a supporting role as Hero in the film The Kid from the Big Apple. Then he was invited to be a host in the Malay television programme Chiki Boom. In the same year, he starred in the Malay telemovie Jalan Belakang Rumah and played the role of Ping; the telemovie has been replayed on the television station more than seven times.[3]
In 2018, he made a special appearance in the China online web series Original Sin and acted as the younger brother of the main cast, Wu Wen Xuan.[4] In the same year, he starred in the online web series Mata Kerbau and played the role of Benson.[5]
In 2019, he starred in a Chinese New Year short film Buah Tangan, playing the role of Ah Boy. The short film was listed as the most popular Chinese New Year short film in 2019.[6]
In 2020, he was invited as a special guest in Selamat Malam Malaysia program. He also starred in the drama series Geng Gajet produced by Astro Ceria, scheduled to air at the end of 2020.
