Lisa Crispin has worked as a software tester since 2000, with experience in Extreme Programming, or Agile software development, and scrum practices.

Lisa Crispin and her colleague Janet Gregory have co-authored two notable books on software testing in Agile software development,[10][11] as part of the Addison-Wesley Signature Series; the series is approved by Kent Beck, Mike Cohn & Martin Fowler.[12]

Lisa Crispin has written books and articles and taught courses and webinars on Agile testing.[13]Agile Testing: A Practical Guide for Testers and Agile Teams was described as "a gamechanger"[14] by Robert C. Martin, one of the authors of the Agile Manifesto.[15]

Lisa Crispin is co-author with Tip House of Extreme Testing (Addison-Wesley, 2003).[16] She is a contributor to Experiences of Test Automation by Dorothy Graham and Mark Fewster (Addison-Wesley, 2011)[17], Beautiful Testing (O’Reilly, 2009) [18][19] and other books and articles.[20][21]

She has also (co-)authored several articles, including an article on Extreme Programming with Ron Jeffries, one of the authors of the Agile Manifesto.[22]

She was a keynote speaker at Agile Testing & BDD eXchange 2017 in London,[23] with Janet Gregory on the topics of "Do Testers Have to Code" at Agile Vancouver 2015[24] and Agile Roots 2015[25] and "Myths About Agile Testing, De-Bunked" at AgileTestingDays 2012[26] as well as "Appendix A: Lessons Learned since Agile Testing Was Published" at Agile Testing Days 2011.[27] She was on a panel of speakers at Colombo Agile Conference 2016.[28] She was a speaker at Agilia Conference 2015 on the topics of "Key Factors for Agile Testing Success"[29] and "Agile Testing in Large Organizations and Distributed Teams"[30] At STAREAST 2011 she led a session called "Seven Key Factors for Agile Testing Success".[31]

She has presented tutorials and workshops on Agile testing at many different conferences, including Agile Development Conference 2003, XP/Agile Universe conferences, STAR West, Software Test Automation conference, Quality Week (both in the U.S.A. and in Europe) and XP Days in Zurich.[2] She conducted a workshop on "Hands-on manual UI testing" with Emma Armstrong[32] at Agile 2015.

She was invited by the Agile Alliance to participate on the Program Committee for the first annual Agile Alliance Technical Conference in 2016 (AATC2016), along with Nancy Van Schooenderwoert, Rachel Laycock, Craig Smith and Jim Newkirk.[33] Keynote speakers for this conference were Sandi Metz and Robert C.
