Lisa N Edwards is an Australian actress, producer, screenwriter and author based in Melbourne, Australia. She has appeared in Charlie & Boots,[1] Now Add Honey and The Slap.
Background[edit]
Edwards was born and grew up in Brisbane. By 22, she moved to Melbourne to found her own modeling and acting agency,[2][3] Edwards sold the agency 13 years after its inception to work as a full-time crypto trader.[4][5][6][7] She has attended the National Institute of Dramatic Art's The Presenter Audition only Course, class of 2010.[8][9] Returning to Australia in 2011 Edwards spent a year working with V8 Supercars.[10]
Acting career[edit]
As an actor, she made an uncredited appearance in the television movie The Secret Life of Us, which premiered in 2001,[11] and followed by another role as the Courtroom Reporter in the Australian television series, Marshall Law.[12]
In 2009, Edwards starred in Charlie & Boots, a road movie starring Paul Hogan directed by Dean Murphy concerning the relationship between a father and his son. Charlie & Boots was the second-highest-grossing Australian-made film of 2009.[13][14]
In 2010, Edwards appeared in Don't Be Afraid of the Dark a horror film starring Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce and directed by Troy Nixey.[15][16]
In January 2013, Edwards participates as a jury in the 2nd Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (2nd AACTA).[17]
Edwards' next film is Coinrunners, she has collaborated with Janet Jeffries of Lawrence Bender Productions to write the screenplay that depends on a pre-written script by Edwards.[18] The film chronicles the story of a female crypto trader who gets involved in a relation with another trader that leads to the precipice of disaster for them and the destruction of their business.[19]
Published works[edit]
Edwards is the author of the Can't Fight Fate novels, a three-book fiction series entitled Can't Fight Fate, Chasing Butterflies, and Seed of the Sunflower.[20][21][22]
