Charinda Lishan Perera (born 3 July 1994) is a Sri Lankan author.[1]

Biography[edit]

Lishan was just about to turn 6 when he wrote his first story. He published his first book, The Killer, at the age of twelve.[1][2][3] This was followed by Time to Die and Pure Evil (both 2007),[1][2] and a collection of short stories, No Second Chance, in 2008.[1] He writes in English.[2]

One of his short stories was also selected to be published in a Daily News anthology titled Nothing Grows Under the Banyan Tree in October 2007.[4]

In May 2008, Lishan was invited to speak as a panelist in a forum at the World Book Fair, Singapore.[5]

He attended the Colombo International School,[1][2][3] and then studied mechanical engineering at University College London.[6]
