The Australian Consul-General in Chicago represents the Australian Government in Chicago.

The Consulate-General carries out visiting and reporting responsibilities for California north of the 36N parallel, Idaho, Montana, Nevada except for Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The Consulate-General was closed in 1993 due to budget constraints,[1] but re-opened in 2001.
