List of Formula One Grand Prix pole position by Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton is a British racing driver who won three Formula One world championships. Hamilton entered Formula One in 2007 with McLaren team partnering with two-time world champions Fernando Alonso. He spent six years with McLaren before moving to Mercedes in 2013. Hamilton took his first pole position in 2007 Canadian Grand Prix and sealed his first victory at the same race. Thereafter, he took five more pole positions during the course of the 2007 season.
Hamilton took a total of 22 pole positions across a six-season period at McLaren, before moving on to Mercedes factory team. From then on, he took another 43 pole positions. He is also the only driver in the history of the sport to have taken at least one pole positions in each season. Moreover, his 65 Grand Prix victories is the second highest of all-time having equaled Ayrton Senna's total of 65, behind only Michael Schumacher at 68.
