The following is a list of characters who appear in stories that are related (however tangentially) to the Jammer, a fictional costumed hero created by Bernie Mireault.

Abdul (i)	Abdul was a Flark assassin who was sent to kill Jane Marble because she dared to work for the Blood King. He was subdued by Jane's secretary Kludd. Abdul committed suicide while in police custody by smashing his head against the toilet of his holding cell.	New Triumph #4
Abdul (ii)	Abdul was a Flark who was assigned to guard the Flark's reluctant weapons master Moses Farouk. He was stationed with a rifle outside Cabin C-1 of the container ship Sea Hag. Abdul was kept entertained by the colorful arguments between Farouk and Rasha.	The Jam, Urban Adventure #2
Achmed	Achmed was a Flark assassin who was sent to kill the Blood King. He intercepted a car transporting the king, Jane Marble, and Kludd using a motorcycle he borrowed from Rasha. In the course of the chase, Achmed collided with the car and was tossed off the motorway. He was found later by police in a junkyard impaled on a truck bumper. Andy	Andy is a friend of Dave Brave and was a member of the Backup Mob.	The Jam, Urban Adventure #4
Gerry Atwater	Lord Gerry Atwater was Jane Marble's second husband. He was a friend of Jane's first husband, John Molson. Jane married Atwater in the 1930s at the time she was performing as the Torch. Beauvais	Beauvais is a Montréal homicide captain who was assigned to investigate the deaths of the Flarks Abdul and Achmed. He works with Michel Marble and has a work relationship with Jane Marble.	The Jam, Urban Adventure #2.
The Blood King	"Blood King" is the name given to a mysterious sheik from an unnamed Arab nation. He is the 11th richest man in the world and the mortal enemy of the Flarks. The Blood King visited Montréal to vacation with some friends and go skiing. He hired Jane Marble to keep him safe during his visit. Jane contracted the Jammer to be the Blood King's body double. Bob (i)	Bob is an alcoholic homeless man who is a local fixture of Gordon Kirby's neighborhood. The Devil's imps helped Bob steal the Jammer's costume that Gordie left in an alleyway. Bob wore the costume for warmth until Gordie found him dancing through the mob that was confronting the Flarks at the docks.	New Triumph #5 (seen)

Jesse Bochner	Jesse Bochner is a cartoonist friend of Gordon Kirby. He was a regular at the Comic Jam sessions held at La Sala Rosa.	To Get Her
Dave Brave	Dave Brave is a friend of Gordon Kirby and a subcontractor for the Jammer. The Jammer met Dave as he was dangling his brother-in-law Roger from a rope on his rooftop. The Jammer persuaded Dave not to kill Roger and they bonded over beers. Gordie later hired Dave to watch his back when he was hired to double for the Blood King.	The Jam Special #1

Douglas Camp	Douglas Camp is Gordon Kirby's lawyer. Gordie saved Camp's wife from being beaten to death in the street by a religious fanatic with a Bible. Howard Chackowicz	Howard Chackowicz is a Montréal-based artist and musician who is well known for his contributions to the independent comic book scene. He is the drummer for the American Devices. Howard regularly attended the Comic Jam sessions held at La Sala Rosa.	To Get Her
Charlena	Charlena was an old lady who appeared in Gordon Kirby's dream. She was judged to be an asshole by the Jammer Omniscient and consigned to the Dirty Coffee Cup of Hell.	The Jam, Urban Adventure: Super Cool, Color-injected, Turbo Adventure from Hell #1
Charlie	Charlie was a character in the ghost story "Asphalt" that was related to Gordon Kirby by Bob at the Blue Angel Bar. Charlie's wife Sarah described him as a fine man who got a little crazy when he got behind the wheel of a car. The couple met their end the day Charlie lost control of their pickup and crashed into an asphalt truck. Sarah was thrown from the vehicle, landed in a ditch, and was quickly buried by the molten tar leaking from the truck. Charlie survived the crash but was hit by a car as he frantically searched for his wife. Charlie's ghost now haunts the stretch of highway where he and his wife died. His flattened form floats above the highway moving from car to car calling looking for Sarah. When Charlie popped up in front of Bob's windshield, Bob veered off the road and crashed his car. The Devil	The Devil is the Ruler of Hell. It is his job to make sure that everyone on Earth knows at least a little bit about pain. Gordon Kirby came to the Devil's attention because his happiness ratings were "off the chart". The Devil took Gordie on as a special project. He even made a personal appearance at the appreciation party Gordie threw at the Blue Angel Bar after the Flarks affair.	The Jam, Urban Adventure #1
Janet Ditko	Janet Ditko was Gordon Kirby's girlfriend for ten years. She earned living at office jobs with toxic work environments. Janet practiced kung fu to let off steam and watched brainless television to decompress. Janet hated being poor and couldn't understand why Gordie refused to grow up and get a real job. His decision to become a comics artist made even less sense to her. Janet eventually quit her office job and took a 6-month teaching job in the northern village of Inukjuak. Janet broke up with Gordie once he learned she was seeing someone else in Inukjuak.	New Triumph #4

Edward	Edward was a patient of Dr.Mandigo. He didn't believe in hypnosis, so Mandingo took great pleasure in hypnotizing him. During one session, Edward recalled an occurrence at the dinner table when he meant to ask his mother to "pass the salt" but instead blurted out "you've ruined my life, you bitch!" Frank Einstein	Frank Einstein, aka Madman, is a paranormal adventurer from Snap City. He met Gordon Kirby in Montréal while pursuing a psychic distress call from Lady Madeline. M.C. Escher	Maurits Cornelis "M.C." Escher (1898−1972) was a Dutch graphic artist whose work featured mathematical objects and operations including impossible objects, explorations of infinity, reflection, symmetry, perspective, truncated and stellated polyhedra, hyperbolic geometry, and tessellations. The Jammer met the ghost of M.C. Escher while on an adventure with Frank Einstein to rescue Escher's love, Lady Madeline. The ghost of M.C. Escher is an idealized echo of the artist that lives in the collected unconscious of the world. Escher's ghost is the sorcerous master of a domain created from his own imagination. Moses Farouk	Moses Farouk is the greatest inventor the Flark's country has ever known. Working privately, he created things that boggled the minds of his contemporaries. Farouk drew the attention of the Flark's sponsor when it was rumored that he had developed anti-gravity. To suppress this technology, his kidnapping was commissioned in September 1979. Allah came to Rasha in a dream and instructed him not to kill Farouk, but to employ his genius as the Flark's weapons master. Farouk is the inventor of the electric pen, the bubble gun, and the gravity-defying Sky Flark. Farouk eventually escaped the Flarks and asked for political asylum in Canada. Pierre-Luc Goddard	Lieutenant Inspector Pierre-Luc Goddard was the senior officer on the scene investigating the shooting retired librarian Christopher Enos by a rooftop sniper. Goddard had Gordon Kirby arrested when he came forward with information regarding the attack. Gordie's intel eventually led to the arrest of a home-grown terrorist with ties to a larger organization. The opportunistic Goddard took credit for the arrest. Rene Marble, head of Internal Affairs at the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal, has a large file on Goddard and describes him as "poorly drawn". Harry	Harry appeared in a dream where Gordon Kirby ruled over Hell for Assholes as the Jammer Omniscient. Harry was determined to be an asshole because he beat his girlfriend, drove drunk and was rude. He was subsequently consigned to the Dirty Coffee Cup of Hell. Harvey	Harvey, aka the "Killer-Diller Dog", is a Labrador-sized mixed breed and Gordon Kirby's best friend. Gordie started wearing his Jammer costume when he took Harvey out on walks. He trained Harvey to take dumps on the rooftop of their apartment building. Harvey is a loving, loyal, and protective dog. He startled a burglar trying to break into the apartment through the fire-escape and caused him to fall to his death. Harvey also chased down and dispatched five imps that had been sent to make Gordie's life miserable. Harvey has been trained to respond to a dog whistle.	New Triumph #3
Hell Lord	Hell Lord was the over-the-top bad guy in Janet Ditko's superhero dream. He thwarted the Mighty Jan's rescue attempt by compelling her to blow a hole through Gordon Kirby's chest.	The Jam, Urban Adventure #4
Maurice Hendrix	Maurice Hendrix was a hellish teller at Gordon Kirby's bank. Maurice was a miserable person who tortured customers by following bank procedures to the letter. Hervé	Hervé was the flirtatious EMT who bandaged Janet Ditko's burned hand.	To Get Her

The Jammer	The Jammer is the costumed identity of Gordon Kirby. His sister Nancy made his costume for him years ago and he loves it. It was meant as a joke; a reference to his early superhero comic habit and devotion to the original Batman television series, for which she teased him endlessly. Joke or not, Gordie started wearing it. It was a private thing that never ceased to amuse him. He'd put it on and go up to the roof of his apartment building and goof around. After Gordie came across Harvey and became his guardian (and vice versa), he started wearing the costume on their frequent walks. When they would go out together for their nightly walks, stage and interesting things would happen. Whenever he wore the costume, the universe seemed to go out of its way to dish out something weird. In his costumed identity of the Jammer, Gordie was involved in international assassination plots, had an interview with a crazy psychiatrist when he was the one who got paid, spoke with the ghost of M.C. Escher, and met others who actually possess what could technically be called "superpowers".	New Triumph #2
The Jammer Omniscient	The Jammer Omniscient is an 8-story-tall dream version of Gordon Kirby's costumed identity. The Jammer Omniscient is the ruler of Hell for Assholes. He judges everyone Gordie meets in his waking life. Those he finds guilty of being assholes are consigned to the Dirty Coffee Cup of Hell. The Mighty Jan	The Mighty Jan was the alter ego Janet Ditko assumed in her superhero dream. The Mighty Jan attempted to rescue Gordon Kirby from the evil clutches of Hell Lord but was instead compelled to blow a hole through Gordie's chest.	The Jam, Urban Adventure #4

Collin Joans	Collin Joans was an old friend of Janet Ditko's from university. Collin and Janet reconnected at a time when she started to question her career choices and her decade-long relationship with Gordon Kirby. Collin became her sounding board and Gordie's main critic. He soon became obsessed with Janet and their future together. Collin sent the police to her apartment when he thought she was being attacked. The visit led to Gordie's arrest on unrelated charges. Collin eventually proposed to Janet right before she left for her teaching position in the north. She promptly shut him down. When Janet stopped returning his calls, Collin assumed that Gordie was holding her hostage. He arrived at their apartment and attacked Gordie. When the police arrived at the scene, Gordie had Collin incapacitated and was sitting on top of him. Gordie was tased before he could explain what happened. It was subsequently discovered that Collin had a long history of mental instability. At the time he reconnected with Janet, he was off his meds. After he was arrested, Collin was placed back on his regular medication. Collin's well-connected family bribed Gordie with money to keep quiet about their son's misadventures.	To Get Her

Gordon Kirby	Gordon "Gordie" Kirby is the protagonist and the beating heart of the Jam. Gordie makes a subsistence living, working odd jobs while pursuing his dream of becoming a comics artist. Nancy Kirby	Nancy is Gordon Kirby's sister. She created the Jammer's costume as a gift to her brother for Halloween one year. Nancy is the mother and primary caretaker of her son Ronnie. Kludd	Kludd is Jane Marble's secretary, bodyguard, driver, and all-around go-to guy. Despite having worked together for over a decade, he insists on calling her "madame". He has hinted that he and Jane once had a physical relationship.	New Triumph #5

Madman	Madman is the costumed identity of Frank Einstein.
Dr. Andrew Mandigo	Andrew Mandigo, MD, was a psychiatrist who offered to pay the Jammer to attend sessions and talk about his life as a crimefighter. According to Jane Marble (who referred Gordon Kirby for the job), he comes from a long line of lunatics but was good for the money. Mandigo said he was conducting research for a book he was writing. The doctor ulterior motive was to use the Jammer to land an interview with Jane Marble—who happened to be a masked crimefighter in the 1930s. The Jammer ended the sessions after Mandigo tried to hypnotize him against his will. Dr. Mandigo later adopted the costumed persona of Mister One. Dr. Mandigo is a board-certified psychiatrist with aspirations to become the next Sigmund Freud. He a trained hypnotherapist with a penchant for cocaine.	The Jam, Urban Adventure #6

Ben Marble	Ben Marble is Jane Marble's third husband. Ben met Jane after World War II in New York City where she was performing as the Torch. They fell in love, got married, and had three children: two sons (René and Michel) and a daughter. Jane gave up her career as the Torch to raise their family. When Ben learned that Jane had substantial financial holdings form her previous marriages, he initially felt hurt that she didn't trust him. When he tried to take her money, she divorced him. Jane Marble	Jane Marble is a wickedly sharp, chain-smoking private investigator who regularly contracts the Jammer for special projects. Jane first met the Jammer when he saved her from being mugged in an alley near his home. In the 1930s and 40s, Jane sang at the Blue Angel Bar under the stage name of the Torch. The masked Torch also happened to moonlight as a crime-fighter. She is twice widowed and once divorced. From the first two marriages, she received a sizable inheritance. Michel Marble	Michel Marble is a homicide detective in the Montréal Police Department. He is Ben and Jane Marble's second son. His older brother René is a senior Internal Affairs officer. They also have a sister. The brothers were often asked to help their mother with her cases. Michel first met Gordon Kirby as a uniformed police officer. When his mother disappeared, Michel took a leave of absence from the police force and tried to find her.	The Jam, Urban Adventure #2
René Marble	René Marble is the head of Internal Affairs at the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal. He is Ben and Jane Marble's first son. René is married. His younger brother Michel is a homicide detective. They also have a sister. The brothers assist their mother with her cases. René first met Gordon Kirby as a uniformed police officer. Before she disappeared, Jane asked her son to look after Gordon. René is notified whenever Gordon's name enters the system. He is fluent both English and Quebec French.	The Jam, Urban Adventure #2

Mary (ii)	Mary was a young woman Gordon Kirby pursued before he met Janet Ditko. Gordon played fetch with Mary's dog while he waited for her to get ready for their first date. An unfortunate toss sent the ball over the balcony railing with the tiny dog in hot pursuit.	The Jam, Urban Adventure #9
Mary (iii)	Mary is a character who appears in the comicstrip Hi-hat, created by Gordon Kirby. She is the main character's insecure and manipulative girlfriend.	To Get Her
Nina Matootsi	Nina was a neighbor of Gordon Kirby and Janet whose abusive husband Tony was killed in a freak accident when a manhole cover shot into the air, fell through the ceiling of their apartment, and crushed his head. Nina saw the event as a sign from God and held a religious vigil in her apartment under the hole in her ceiling. Nina met the Jammer when he accidentally fell through the hole while on rooftop patrol. Gordie returned to the roof later that evening with a microphone and amplifier. Using an unearthly voice, he told Nina that she had been given a fresh start, that she should seek her friends, and go to her family and heal. Nina promptly got up and went to her mother's. Tony Matootsi	Tony Matootsi was the abusive husband of Nina. He was killed in a freak accident when a manhole cover shot into the air, fell through the ceiling of their apartment, and crushed his head.	The Jam, Urban Adventure #6
Joe Matt	Joe Matt is a cartoonist and a friend of Gordon Kirby. He bailed Gordie out of jail when he was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Joe regularly attended the Comic Jam at La Sala Rosa.	To Get Her

John Molson	Liquor Baron John Molson was Jane Marble's first husband. She met him at the time she was performing as the Torch. They married in the 1930s when Molson was 80. Shakti Morivan	Shakti Morivan is a project supervisor who offered Janet Ditko a 6-month job teaching a course on "Social Integration" in the northern village of Inukjuak.	To Get Her
Megan	Megan is an old friend of Gordon Kirby and Janet Ditko who still sees them occasionally at the laundromat. She related a story where she had received a telegram from her dad saying that her mother had died of cancer and that Megan should come home. When she called home, her mother answered the phone. Days later, an image of Megan reading the telegram was featured in Klee Shonin art show. When Megan realized that the telegram was a cruel joke staged by the artist, she marched right up to Shonin and kicked him in the groin. Hard. In an ironic twist, Shonin's own suffering was captured by a fellow photographer attending the show.	The Jam, Urban Adventure #12
Mister One	Mister One is the costumed persona adopted by Dr. Andrew Mandigo to confront the Jammer. Dr. Mandigo assumed his alter ego in order to insert himself into the Jammer's "delusionary landscape". Mister One's costume is reminiscent of classic comic-book villains with a dash of 1970s glam rock. He carries a hallucinogenic trans-gun loaded with tranquilizers of various intensities, sodium pentathol, and some hallucinogens. The gun can be set to single-shot or rapid-fire. Klee Shonin	Klee Shonin was a gallery artist whose body of work consisted of photographs of sad people and dead bodies. Gordon Kirby felt Shonin's art was bullshit, consisting of just a bunch of negative imagery slapped together to elicit a reaction. At least one of his tragic photographs was staged. Shonin sent Gordon and Janet's friend Megan a telegram informing her of her mother's death. Shonin was on hand to photograph her devastation. Janet spotted the image when they attended Shonin's gallery opening. When Megan realized that the telegram was a cruel joke staged by the artist, she marched right up to Shonin and kicked him in the groin. Hard. The Devil's Imps	Imps are miniaturized demons (about the size of action figures) that serve as the Devil's agents on the mortal plane. Imps were instrumental in Gordie's breakup with Janet. They helped Bob steal the Jammer's costume. Imps also tried and failed to poison Harvey. The imps travelled to Montréal from Hell via the Devil's digestive tract. They caught a ride with a crow to get to Gordie and Janet's apartment. Imp voices are perceived on a subliminal level and are often mistaken as voices in one's head.	Operation Break His Heart: Eleven (11) imps amplified Janet's insecurities and made her question her future with Gordie—who had just recently told her about his late-night escapades as the Jammer. As a result, Janet broke up with Gordie, told him to get professional help, and moved back in with her parents. Operation Steal His Costume: Two (2) imps helped Bob steal Gordie's Jammer costume. Operation Kill His Dog: Imps persuaded someone to break into Gordie's apartment. As the thief was entering the apartment via the fire escape, he was startled by Harvey, lost his grip, and fall to his death (landing on a poodle who was initially mistaken for Harvey when it arrive in Hell).
