The following is a list of civilian massacres attributed to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).

Kent and Dollar Farm massacres 1984-11-30 Vavuniya District, Northern Province 62 LTTE cadres shot dead 62 Sinhalese settlers and injured several others.[1]
Kokilai massacre 1984-12-01 Kokilai, Mullaitivu District 11 LTTE cadres massacred 11 Sinhalese civilians. Most of the victims were fishermen.[2]
Anuradhapura massacre 1985-05-14 Anuradhapura, North Central Province 146 LTTE cadres invaded the town and opened fire indiscriminately with automatic weapons killing and wounding many civilians who were waiting for buses. Then they drove to the sacred Buddhist shrine Sri Maha Bodhi and gunned down nuns, monks and civilians as they were worshiping inside the shrine.[3][4][5] Before they withdrew, the LTTE strike force entered the Wilpattu National Park and killed 18 Sinhalese in the forest reserve, who unknowingly helped to pull the LTTE vehicle which was struck in a mud pool.
Morawewa massacre 1985-11-07 Morawewa, Trincomalee District 10 LTTE cadres massacred 10 Sinhalese villagers.[6]
Mannar massacre 1985-12-20 Northern Province 06 6 Madhu catholic pilgrims who were abducted by LTTE on 12 Dec 1985 were executed.[7]
Mahadivulwewa massacre 1986-05-25 Mahadivulwewa, Trincomalee District 20 LTTE cadres shot dead 20 Sinhalese and set fire to 20 houses[6]
Andankulam massacre 1986-06-04 Andankulam, Trincomalee District 17 LTTE cadres shot dead 17 Sinhalese, including Buddhist monk Ven. Bakamune Subaddalankara Thera.[6]
Jayanthipura massacre 1987-04-20 Jayanthipura, Trincomalee 15 LTTE cadres shot dead 15 Sinhalese villagers[6]
Colombo Central Bus Station bombing 1987-04-21 Central Bus Stand, Pettah 113 LTTE exploded a bomb at the central bus terminal of Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka. The bombing killed 113 civilians.[8]
Aranthalawa Massacre 1987-06-02 Aranthalawa, Ampara District 35 LTTE cadres massacre and brutal mutilation of 33 young Bhikkhus and their mentor, Chief Priest Ven. Hegoda Indrasara Thera[9]

Kivulkade massacre 1988-03-15 Kivulkade, Trincomalee 07 Two groups of terrorists entered the village and killed seven Sinhalese villagers[6]
Paudukulam massacre 1988-03-22 Paudukulam, Vavuniya District 06 Ten to 15 armed terrorists attacked the Sinhalese village and killed six villagers, three injured[6]
Medawachchikulam massacre 1988-03-22 Medawachchikulam, Vavuniya 09 LTTE cadres shot dead nine Sinhalese villagers[6]
Kattankudy mosque massacre 1990-08-03 Kattankudy 147 LTTE cadres killed of over 147 Muslim men and boys in a mosque in Kattankudy.[10][5] It took place when around 30 Tamil rebels raided four mosques in the town of Kattankudi, where over 300 people were prostrating in Isha prayers.
Bandaraduwa Uhana massacre 1990-08-07 Bandaraduwa Uhana, Ampara District 32 About 40 armed terrorists went to a Sinhalese village and killed 32 and injured four.[11]
Muliyankadu massacre 1990-11-11 Muliyankadu, AmparaDistrict 17 Tamil Tigers killed 17 Muslim farmers working in a paddy field in Muliyankadu.[11]
Alinchipotana massacre 1990-04-29 Alinchipotana, Polonnaruwa District 56 Tamil Tigers attacked a Muslim village, killing 56 Muslims and injuring 15.[12]
Mass massacre at Palliyagodella, Ahamedpura, Agbopura, Pamburana and Polonnaruwa 1992-10-15 Palliyagodella, Ahamedpura, Agbopura, Pamburana and Polonnaruwa 172 About 200-300 armed terrorists attacked Muslim villages and shot and hacked to death 172 civilians (171 of them Muslims). 83 others were injured.[6][12]
Kalpengala and Bedirekka massacre 1999-09-18 Kalpengala and Bedirekka, Ampara District 58- 61 Tamil Tigers massacred 61 Sinhalese villagers including 17 women and seven children in three villages. The victims were dragged from sleep and hacked and chopped to death using machetes and swords.[13][6]
Omadiyamadu massacre 2006-05-29 Omadiyamadu, Welikanda 12 Twelve workers killed while two escape death in when LTTE cadres attacked a group of labourers engaged in an irrigation canal construction project for the Mahaweli Authority undertaken by a contractor.[6][14]
Kebithigollewa massacre 2006-06-15 Kebithigollewa, Anuradhapura District 64 Sixty four civilians including 15 schoolchildren, several pregnant women, a Bhikkhu and many others were massacred while they were traveling in a bus.[15][16]
Muttur massacre 2006-08-03 Muttur unknown Three schools in the East were bombarded with heavy artillery fire. The intention of the LTTE very clearly was to cause maximum damage to a hapless innocent Muslim community who were gathered in large numbers at the refugee centres.[6]
Aralaganvila massacre 2007-04-05 Aralaganvila and Paleuruwa 04 LTTE cadres killed four civilians at Aralaganvila[6]
Awaranthulawa massacre 2007-04-12 Awaranthulawa, Vavuniya District 07 LTTE terrorists killed six women and one man and injured a few others. According to defence sources, an armed group of terrorists stormed the village around 4:30 pm and executed two families at two houses.[17][6]
Abhimanpura massacre 2007-12-05 Abhimanpura, Kebithigollewa 16 LTTE cadres attacked a civilian bus with a bomb, killing 16 and injuring 23.[18][6]
Okkampitiya massacre 2008-01-16 Okkampitiya, Moneragala 28 Massacre of schoolchildren; 28 killed and 64 wounded.[6][19]
Kirimetiya massacre 2009-02-21 Kirimetiya, Ratmalgaha Ella in Inginiyagala, Ampara Distict 21 LTTE cadres stormed the predominantly Sinhalese village, indiscriminately fired at a farming community, killing 21 and injuring 20 others including children.[20]
