This is a list of living former United States senators. There are currently 142 people listed. Hawaii, Kentucky, and Washington are currently the only states without a living former senator. Connecticut, Iowa, Maryland, Mississippi, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont and Wyoming each have just one living former senator. Colorado has the most living former senators, with 8 as of November 25, 2024.
