List of modelled aircraft in IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover
The below list includes all player flyable aircraft and AI controlled aircraft in IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover, both in the basic game (version BLITZ, released in 2017) and in its add-on Desert Wings - Tobruk (released in 2020). Mentions of tropical versions being included in the add-on Desert Wings - Tobruk mean that the affected type or variant in the below charts is noted in the game with the adjunction of the term "Trop" (for example: Bf 109 E-7/N Trop).[1] This only means that the tropical version includes a filter device that prevents the aircraft's engine from getting damage because of the dusty desert environment.[2]

Available aircraft upon release in 2011[edit]
Upon release in March 2011, IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover included over 30 aircraft, over 15 flyable and 15 AI-controlled.[48] During the period when IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover was still under development, the aerobatic Sukhoi Su-26 (not a WWII era plane) had been promised as a bonus flyable aircraft for all players, but was not included in the game upon release.[49] Nevertheless, the Su-26 was finally included as a free downloadable content with the adjunction of the Steam patch 1.11.20362 on 19 October 2012.[50][51]

Notes[edit]
- ↑ The Bf 109 F-4/R1, although not named as such in the add-on Desert Wings - Tobruk, is included in the add-on by means of the F-4 variant just adding to that latter the armament that caracterises the F-4/R1 sub-variant: two underwing gondolas each one containing one MG 151/20 autocannon.
