This is a list of notable letters of the English alphabet.

  • A - Used to assign the highest grade. In school tests and exams, a single A is used, whereas multiple As may be used in finance to show risk, i.e. AAA, or "triple A" ratings are the lowest risk.
  • B - This letter is used to indicated something being substandard, such as films or lists of people.
  • C - Generally regarded as an average grade.

  • E - This letter is the most common letter used in many languages.
  • F - Used to indicate the lowest score on a test
  • G -
  • H - Helicopter pads and hospitals are commonly indicated with this letter.
  • I - Lower case "i" is used in computing and public places to indicate "information".
