Live Cycling Manager (LCM) is a cycling manager saga developed by the Basque Company Xagu Studios. The game was released for iOS and Android in July 2018. The game still has developer support.
Gameplay
The player can begin (and later have the option to continue) a career that places them in control of a cycling team. When starting a new career, the user can customise a new team selecting its name and colour. When beginning for the first time, the player has to select a server and some hours to play. The team starts in the 7th category of the league, in a group with 18 other teams. The game consists of maintaining the finances of your team; in order to complete this objective, the player has the ability to negotiate with different sponsors and produce and sell club’s merchandising. Managing these things, the player has to be able to pay riders and staff salaries. As the manager of the team, the player also has the ability to prepare riders’ physical form plan and inscribe the club in different races. One season is composed of 72 days with 3 races each day. At the end of the season, if the team has scored enough points, the team will be promoted to the next category and will be able to play with more experienced players. The scored points differ depending on which race has been played and the position of the cyclists at the end of the race. With the passage of seasons, riders get older and eventually retire; the game generates new riders each season to supply the retired ones, and the player has the option to sign new riders from other teams or search for junior riders and train their abilities.
One of the most criticised topics of the game has been that races are only played at the same hour every day, making it impossible to play at any other hour.

Live Cycling Manager 2 (LCM2) is the second game in the Live Cycling Manager saga developed by the Basque Company Xagu Studios. The game is developed for iOS and Android but it is also available in the Windows store. The game is regularly updated and new content gets available for all users. The game differs from LCM in the way it is played. LCM is totally online whereas LCM2 is offline, which allows you to play whenever and wherever you want.
Gameplay
Mobile
In the same way as LCM, the player can begin (and later have the option to continue) a career that places them in control of a cycling team. When starting a new career, the user can select an existing team or customise a new team selecting its name and colour. In contrast to LCM, in this sequel there is the option to play with male or female teams. When beginning for the first time, the player can only select a team from the pro category, and teams from the World category can only be selected once the player has won some races. The game doesn’t provide much help despite some yellow blinking boxes that remind you of the actions you haven’t completed; however, the game options and functionalities are quite similar to LCM1, so if you have played it, it is not hard to get used to the new interface. The game consists of maintaining the finances of your team like in LCM; in order to complete this objective, the player has the ability to negotiate with different sponsors and produce and sell club’s merchandising. Managing these things, the player has to be able to pay riders and staff salaries as well as pay for the material and the rental of the fleets. As the manager of the team, the player also has the ability to prepare riders’ physical form plan and inscribe the club in different races. At the end of the season, if the team has scored enough points, the team will be promoted to the World Category and will be able to go to Grand tours such as the Giro or the Tour.
One of the main differences with LCM1 is that all races are played in complete 3D and not only the special actions as they were shown in the first edition of the game. LCM2 is offline; AI has been renewed to make races more dynamic. The game combines all the stuff of a manager game with the dynamism of racing games, something that would catch the attention of all types of players.
PC
Largely similar to the mobile version of the game, it seems to be a mobile game port without any improvements in any aspects. The 3D hasn’t got any improvements, so it is probably focused for Windows tablets rather than PCs.
Development
The game is developed by Xagu Studios. The first time the game was released, there were some modules which were under development; those modules have been unlocked with progressive updates. At the moment, the editor is still blocked, but presumably it will be unlocked in a future update.
