Liyakkathali C. M. is an Indian ex-Muslim activist from Kerala. He is the founder of 'Ex-Muslims of Kerala' and is known for publicly renouncing Islam and advocating for secularism, freedom of expression, and the rights of those leaving religion.[1]
Liyakkathali gained public attention after participating in the 2022 gathering of ex-Muslims held in Kochi, which called for societal acceptance and legal protection for apostates in India.[2][3]
Liyakkathali has spoken about social ostracism faced by ex-Muslims in Kerala and has advocated online for rationalist values and the separation of religion from public life.[4]
