Lo Village is an American music group that originally formed in 2015. Their music style includes various elements of hip hop, R&B and soul music. The members of the group are rapper/producer Kane Tabiri, singer/songwriter Ama Tabiri, and rapper Charles Tyler.
History[edit]
Kane and Charles Tyler created the hip-hop/R&B group after graduating from Gaithersburg High School in their hometown of Gaithersburg, Maryland. The duo was established as the Rebel Music Collective's first act, going through various structural iterations, working to perfect its group dynamic and cohesive sound. The most recent change came with the addition of powerhouse vocalist, Ama Tabiri, who joined forces with the duo to give the group its unique R&B twist.
Lo Village's debut EP, Last Summer was released in September of 2016 and was met with great reception, with the music video for the lead single, "Lately," receiving coverage from over 50 blogs including RapNation [1], Elevator [2], 2dopeboyz, Dailychiefers, and more. Following the acclaim of Last Summer, in 2017, Lo Village released a collaborative EP with local artist, Dirty Shafi, titled, For The Birds. The two songs, "Petty" and "Lil' Mama," off of the EP were met with great response by music critics and fans.
