Loaded Boards

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Loaded Boards is a manufacturer of Longboarding equipment, based out of Culver City, California.[1] Loaded was founded by Don Tashman in 2000 and featured the Vanguard board as its first product in 2002. At the beginning they produced longboards from old snowboards. Tashman has stated that his goal was to create high-performing, environmentally friendly longboards.[2]

They focus mainly on the production of longboard decks, mostly for carving, freeriding, and dancing, although they also produce wheels (under the sub-brand Orangatang) and accessories, such as sliding gloves.

Loaded's team has been credited with innovating the creation of marketing videos showcasing the sport of longboarding,[3][4] and their production of videos has led competitors to also start producing creative and elaborate videos.

Loaded sponsors amateur riders through a program called Loaded Ambassadors,[5] which also allows the sponsored riders to upload videos to Loaded Ambassadors' specific YouTube channel.

Orangatang had created a newer type of urethane called "Peachy thane". It is a combination of their common Happy thane and their Euphorathane (Moronga). These new centerset wheels consist of the Keanus (66mm), the Kilmers (69mm), and the Cages (73mm). The only bushings they produce are named "Nipples" and are stepped barrel style.
