localites is a global community of localites and travelers from more than 80 countries who like to share the beauty of their cities by connecting directly with the natives or residents. It was founded by Meghraj Suthar in Sept, 2019.
localites is building a global community where everybody is welcome and everybody is valued. The main objective of the team is to boost the local cultures, traditions, rituals, languages, foods, and many more unexplored and untouched part of cities and towns. People who are part of it are free to choose either way to take on local trips: free or paid. If someone charges for their trips, it's totally up to them. Team localites neither indulge in any payment processing nor recommend anyone to accept for free or put a price.

Vision
To create an alternative economic opportunity for everyone who loves to travel and meet new people
The idea of of building a global community came after founders faced following problems while traveling across many cities:
- Unaware about local transportation
- Need of hiring a traditional tour guide
- Language barriers while traveling the world
- Where Google Map fails; but a localite knows the city
- Fear of exploring or visiting some part of cities
- Cultural/traditional insults
- No help in itineraries from the native people
- Lake of knowledge of foods and locally-known spots
- How to still meet travelers, make friends, and earn hourly when back home
People spend a lot of hours planning their trips and when they reach the destination, they look into the map and figure out things. They spend much and explore less because of unknown transportation, sometimes wrong Google Map directions, unknown weather situations, language/cultural barriers, and the list of time-consuming factors goes on.
The mottos of this global community are:
1) Travel the real world
2) It's not about what, it's all about HOW!
