locize is a software as a service localization platform[2] designed to assist software developers and businesses in managing the translation and localization of their software applications. The platform offers several tools to help with the process of adapting software interfaces, websites, and other digital content into multiple languages.
Service
It includes continuous localization[3], a feature which facilitates efficient translation management. Translations are handled within the locize platform and deployed to the content delivery network (CDN) for consumption by applications or websites.[4]
History
locize was founded in 2016 by the creators of i18next, an internationalization framework for JavaScript projects[5]. They established this service to address the need for comprehensive internationalization tools.[6][7]
locize is compatible with i18next[8][9] and is utilized by various projects employing different internationalization (i18n) frameworks.[10][11]
Currently, locize collaborates with translation service providers, including TextMaster, BLEND and Supertext,[12][13]. It also serves as a technology partner with organizations like the Swiss Red Cross, a humanitarian organization.[14]
