Locus.sh is a logistics optimization platform. [1][2] It uses AI to provide route optimization, real-time tracking, insights and analytics, and intuitive 3D or bin packing.[1][3] It was founded by Nishith Rastogi and Geet Garg in 2015[3] with the aim of automating human decisions related to logistics and is based in India.[4][5]
History
Locus was founded in 2015 by Nishith Rastogi and Geet Garg, both graduates from BITS Pilani.[6][7] They later worked together as engineers at Amazon.[2][8][9][10]
In 2014, they developed Pinchat, a location-based conversational platform.[11] They also developed a geo-tracking app, RideSafe, for women’s safety in 2015, which tracks route deviations by drivers from the pre-decided track. It was later adopted by food tech companies to track deviations of their delivery staff.[12][13][2][5]
Nishith manages strategy and innovation at Locus, and Geet manages engineering and technology.[14] They have operations in South-east Asia, the Middle East, and North America, with customers including Tata Group of companies, Urban Ladder, Lenskart, Licious, and Rollick, among others.[15][16][14][17]
Financing
They raised $2.75 million in 2016 through Series A funding and $4 million in 2018 through Pre-Series B funding.[1][18][19][20][21][22][3]
