London Bangla Press Club (Bengali: লন্ডন বাংলা প্রেস ক্লাব) is a British media based charity based in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
History[edit]
In 1993, The London Bangla Press Club was launched as a media based charity and a professional umbrella organisation. It brings together UK-based Bangladeshi led media organisations in print, publishing, electronic, television and radio. It works to broaden the horizon and empower the wider Bangladeshi community in United Kingdom.[1][2]
The organisation is involved in promoting all forms of media education, including life, art, culture and heritage, socio-economic, technical and creative skills training and media orientated employment opportunities.[1] It is located in London and its membership consists of British journalists of Bangladeshi origin involved in the journalistic, press, publishing or broadcasting sector.[3]
