London Buses route 254 is a Transport for London-contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Holloway and Aldgate bus station, it is operated by Arriva London.
History
Route 254 commenced operation on 31 May 2003 to replace the section of route 253 between Holloway and Aldgate bus station. Route 253 had commenced on 1 February 1961 as a trolleybus replacement route.[1] Route 254 shadows route 253 between Holloway and Hackney.
Route 254 was originally operated out of Arriva London's Stamford Hill garage with Wright Eclipse Gemini-bodied Volvo B7TLs. On 20 August 2011, it was transferred to Ash Grove.
