London Buses route 403 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Warlingham and West Croydon station, it is operated by Arriva London.
History[edit]
Route 403 commenced operating on 1 December 1924. It was operated by East Surrey Transport. By 1 January 1932. the route was being operated by London General. From 1 July 1933 until 21 December 1969 London Transport operated the route. From 1 July 1970 the route was operated by London Country Bus Services.
On 9 August 1986, route 403 became a London Regional Transport route operated by London Country South West between Cheam and Tatsfield. On 30 October 1989, the contract was reassigned to South London's Croydon garage.[1]
On 31 August 1991, the route was withdrawn between Cheam and West Croydon station being replaced by route 407. On 29 October 1994, the route was withdrawn between Warlingham Park Hospital and Tatsfield with the route passing to London & Country.[1]
