London Buses route 718 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. It operates at a half-hourly frequency.
History[edit]
The route was introduced on 30 November 2019 as a temporary measure following the diversion of route 118 due to the collapse of Bishopsford Road Bridge.[1][2] It is expected to be withdrawn in December 2021 once safety checks on the repaired Bishopsford Bridge are completed.[3]
Route[edit]
The line runs between Morden tube station and Rosehill roundabout via London road, Morden road, Wandle road and Bishopsford road.[4] It has a half-hourly frequency.[1] The route is operated as a "figure of six" with one end point at Morden station. From Morden station to Rosehill roundabout, where buses turn around to return to Morden, the line takes around seven to eight minutes, making it the shortest TfL bus route.[5]
