London Real is an online talk show that became embroiled in controversy after broadcasting a live YouTube interview with David Icke who promoted conspiracy theories surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.[2][3][4][5] The interview was broadcast on the television channel London Live, leading to an investigation by Ofcom, and the interview was subsequently deleted by Youtube.[6] Ofcom concluded that the interview "had the potential to cause significant harm to viewers".[7] The platform was created in 2011 by former banker Brian Rose as a podcast.[4] According to their website, London Real covers "topics as diverse as Business & Finance, Health & Fitness, Science, Technology and Lifestyle, as well as going deep into subjects including psychology, bitcoin, investment, ayahuasca, love and sex".
Rose started a crowdsourced fundraising campaign in 2020 to create a "Digital Freedom Platform" that would host videos that YouTube would remove. By May it had raised over $1 million.[8] In August 2020, the site hosted the pseudo-documentary Plandemic 2.[9]
